Joviale Drops Stunning New Project, "Hurricane Belle"

Quick Thoughts: Joviale set a high bar for themself after the release of their debut project, Crisis. Well, it looks like they may have outdone themself on their new EP, Hurricane Belle, a four-song project that shows off Joviale’s artistic nature. Taking inspiration from Peter Shenai’s “Hurricane Bells” experiment, in which he cast brass bells modelled on the five stages of Hurricane Katrina, Joviale is experimental yet calculated, disorienting yet comforting. On one of the project’s best singles, Glass Peach, their beautiful lyricism is thoughtful and thought-provoking, complementing their luscious vocals across a soothing soundscape as they bring in elements of funk, R&B, and soul to create a sound all their own. I can’t recommend this full project enough - it’s beautiful and cohesive, and you’ll find plenty of joy in Joviale’s pure artistry. Stream on Spotify:
