Sophie Odira Drops Beautiful Sophomore Single, "Little Love"

Quick Thoughts: Different people look for different things when they discover new music. For me, I suppose that it depends on the type of music I’m listening to. When I’m listening to a singer-songwriter for the first time, the first thing I notice is the lyricism. And when an artist can complement a well-written song with a beautiful voice, you know you’re listening to someone really special. Having said that, let me introduce you to Sophie Odira. Only 18 years old, Sophie is already a polished singer-songwriter with a refined indie-folk style that I simply cannot get enough of. With her latest single, Little Love, Sophie Odira laments the way that men act in a relationship. Throughout the song, Sophie’s clever lyricism stands out: “The bar is in hell / All I ask is that they treat me slightly well,” she sings in the track’s first verse over her smooth, beautiful finger-picking guitar and understated production. Little Love is one of those songs that I could write an essay on, if only my writing could do it justice. You just have to listen for yourself. You’ll find yourself playing this track on repeat, and dying for Sophie to drop more music immediately. Stream on Spotify:
