With a sound that resembles anything from jazz to punk music, the four-piece group offers an intriguing twist on today’s indie-rock scene.
In this track, soft, pensive verses give way to an infectious, chanting chorus that is guaranteed to be stuck in your head for days on end. With a looping hook and a building anticipation, the band delivers the track in a manner that is simultaneously familiar yet distinct.
After listening to Davinci just one time, I couldn’t help but imagine how great the Honeyboys must be live. Their brand of music lends itself particularly well to live music, and they must put on a hell of a show for the college town of San Luis Obispo. Stream on Spotify:
