thomTide Shows Off His Remarkable Artistry on "oceanBreeze"

Quick Thoughts: I’m not sure if anyone can relate to this, so here goes nothing: I get into weird patterns when listening to new music in that I obsess over a certain quality. It could be vocals, production, melodies, you name it. Right now, it’s artistry. To me, artistry is less about the tangible and more about the holistic process, how the artist presents their music and themself in a uniquely creative way. Good artistry suggests a certain self-awareness, a passion, and a vision. One listen to thomTide’s single, oceanBreeze, and I was hooked. thomTide’s artistry is evident throughout the track’s two-minute runtime, from the layered arrangements to the vocal delivery and genre-bending sound. thomTide infuses elements of alternative rock, R&B, and jazz to create a free-flowing rhythm and breezy melody that I cannot get enough of. In his Spotify bio, he hints at a larger theme throughout his music, writing, “An episodic story.” Right now, we are in Episode III: Spring. It seems like we might need to wait for a few more releases to understand the full story that he’s trying to tell, and that’s why I’m so fascinated by thomTide. The ARTISTRY, man; so fucking awesome. thomTide has been releasing music with remarkable consistency since September of last year, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Get hip now. thomTide is releasing music biweekly and you're not going to want to miss a single song. Stream on Spotify:
