Myles Cameron Teams Up with Moise for New Bop, "Summer '19"

Quick Thoughts: There’s an art to bending genres and taking from a wide range of influences, and Myles Cameron seems to have mastered it. Cameron teamed up with Moise for his latest release, Summer ‘19, an indie-pop bop tinged with elements of hip-hop and reflection. Upon first listen, Summer ‘19 is a fun, breezy single that evokes the emotion and carefree nature of pre-pandemic summers; but first and foremost, this song is a celebration of blackness, an expression of what the two artists refer to as “black boy joy.” Throughout his entire career, Cameron has demonstrated time and again an artistic thoughtfulness that permeates his every action. With his reflective approach, genre-bending nature, and unreal talent, Cameron is well-known for challenging conventions and being one of the most special artists on the independent scene. And with his upcoming six-song EP, Black Boys Look Blue, due some time in the fall, Cameron looks to build upon his deeply impressive body of work. This is an incredible song that is sure to be on repeat until this next project drops. Stream on Spotify:
