Misty Mtn Continues to Impress with New Single, "Weren't Those the Days"

Quick Thoughts: Misty Mtn wastes no time pulling you in on their latest single, Weren’t Those the Days. The title track of their upcoming EP, Weren’t Those the Days is an indie-pop hit that I can’t help but compare to the likes of Sylvan Esso, thanks to the impeccable production of Lucas Segall and the stunning vocals of Mo Trunzo. The duo has been putting together a seriously impressive discography over the last couple of years. They have a mature sound, marked by narrative-driven lyricism and controlled pop production; their sound is progressive and unique, something totally refreshing that you won’t be able to get out of your head. Throughout the song, Trunzo reflects on a young romance that didn’t quite materialize, showing an ability to thoughtfully explore relatable and difficult topics on easily listenable pop tracks. I can’t wait for the full EP to drop, and I imagine that there will be some absolute hits on that project. Stream on Spotify:
